Thunder Shoe - it actually is real
I remember back in 1990 when AC/DC came out with their new song, ‘Thunderstruck’. AC/DC has somehow always had a knack for delivering tunes and lyrics that make high-school sports a meditative activity. What I remember most about ‘Thunderstruck’, however, is how one of my friends didn’t get the lyrics right. We overheard him singing to it and whenever they would say ‘thunder struck!‘ - he would be yelling out ‘… Thunder Shoe!‘ When we asked him how he thought that even made sense, he described how he pictured a big shoe stomping down whenever he said it. Now whenever I go shoe shopping and see a boot or otherwise large shoe, I’m humming AC/DC tunes for the rest of the day.
Of course, with a little searching I discovered that there actually is a Thunder Shoe … my friend will never let me live this one down.
